Quick Overview

‘Jewels of Persia’ gradually reveals the rich variety of the country as we visit Shiraz, the heartland of ancient Persia, and Isfahan, the epitome of the finest works of Islamic art and architecture, while mixing with local people and experiencing the real Iran.
We spend nights among the last remaining nomadic tribes. We explore all the popular attractions of Shiraz, including the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of the 5th Century BC palatial complex of Persepolis, the colossal stage on which the Achaemenids displayed the glories of Ancient Persia. Before visiting Isfahan and exploring Naqsh-i Jahan Square, representing the climax of Islamic architecture of the 17th Century Persia, we head to one of the largest clusters of nomadic tribes and embark on a walking adventure amidst some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Zagros Mountains.
Our hikes take us into the midst of this breathtaking scenery, where we walk ‘Persian Empire’. Hiking in this region and camping in the highlands enables us to access remote villages and share in the legendary hospitality of the nomadic people who inhabit this part of the world.
